EVERETT, WA: 5/24/21 – As the demand for the MT Propeller and BLR Aerospace 5-bladed Whisper Prop® system increases,Whisper Prop for new aircraft models continue to be developed. MT Propeller and BLR Aerospace announce the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) & the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for the installation of the MT Whisper Prop on the King Air 100 and Beechcraft 99 model aircraft. BLR is the exclusive distributor of the KA100 and B99 Whisper Prop and is receiving orders for the Whisper Prop system through their direct contact. High demand has created limited availability; BLR encourages those interested to submit orders promptly.
The new KA100 & B99 5-bladed Whisper Prop® is constructed with a highly engineered structural resin-infused wood core that is wrapped in carbon-fiberglass skins. Each blade is finished with a nickel-cobalt leading edge providing three times more damage resistance than aluminum. The Whisper Prop is manufactured by MT-Propeller, the world’s most innovative aircraft propeller company.
“Our team at BLR is proud to be partnered with MT propeller providing superior performance, luxury, and reliability to pilots and operators all over the world,” said Mike Carpenter, President of BLR Aerospace.“Our team is excited to now be able to offer KA100 and B99 operators with the numerous benefits of the Whisper Prop system at a much more competitive cost. We know when operators fly with the Whisper Prop system it will be love at first flight.”
The modern 5-bladed Whisper Prop is the smallest diameter, quietest, and most advanced composite propeller on the market. The short diameter protects the aircraft from foreign object damage (FOD) occurrence where the nickel-cobalt leading edge drastically reduces damage and blade erosion. The highly engineered wood core eliminates vibration by more than 50% and decreases the overall wear and cost of operation, including repairs, compared to the foam core composite propeller that comes standard on the aircraft. The Whisper Prop delivers unlimited blade life, field repairable and replaceable blades allowing for superior return to service capabilities. Certified at 4500 hours / 72 months TBO, compared to the factory standard 4000 Hours /60 months TBO, the Whisper prop proves to have the best overhaul schedule. Additionally, the Whisper prop improves take-off performance by 4.3%, has lower Vmca, has no ground RPM limitation, and requires no FAA imposed regular inspections.
